The electrical energy generated will be channeled to the Integrated Steel Mill (ISM) Krakatau Posco. ISM itself requires electrical energy of approximately 200 MW for the production process. In operation, the KPE utilizes off-gas of the Blast Furnace in the ISM as a primary fuel. 

KPE is an environmentally friendly energy company for using the off-gas from the ISM Krakatau Posco, where these gases are usually thrown away, but by KPE actually used as fuel. Thus, KPE also participated in the reduction of CO2 emissions in the air and adhere to the principles of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
