This entire stock ownershipchanging hands belong to the CIMB Group on October 28, 2008 as part of the internal reorganizationof the same.
As the owner of a controlling stake of Bank Niaga (viaCIMB Group) and Lippo Bank, since 2007 the cache looked at merger as an effort that should be taken in order to comply with the policies of the Single Presence Policy (SPP) which has been determined by Bank Indonesia. This merger is the merger of the first Indonesia-related policy spp. in May 2008, the name changed to Bank Niaga Bank CIMB Niaga. Bank Merger deal CIMB Niaga and Lippo Bank have been signed in June 2008, followed by requests for approval of the merger plan of Bank Indonesia and the issuance of a notice of Merger Approval by the Ministry of Justice and human rights in October 2008. Lippo bank was officially merged into the Bank CIMB Niaga on November 1, 2008 (Legal Day 1 or LD1) followed by the introduction of a new logo to the public at large.
The arrival of Lippo Bank into Bank CIMB Niaga is a big leap in the banking sector of South East Asia.
