Company Profile
Clariant was formed in 1995 as a spin off from the chemical company at Sandoz, which itself was founded in Basel in 1886. Through the line of direct descendants, we have accumulated knowledge and experience in chemical industry and covers approximately 150 years. Clariant is expanded through a merger of special chemicals business of Hoechst (Germany) in 1997, and the acquisition of BTP plc (United Kingdom) Division in 2000 and 2006 Ciba Masterbatches. In 2008, we acquired the leading colorants supplier U.S. Rite Systems and Ricon colors. The latest acquisition, a highly innovative special chemicals company Süd-Chemie (Germany), has been completed on 21 April 2011.
The realization of our mission are determined by Clariant's employees, who work for the company's performance in accordance with the structure of the designed and the tasks are allocated.
