PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) is a construction company in Indonesia.
From the nationalization of companies Netherlands results, Naamloze Vennotschap Technische Handel Maatschappij en Bouwbedijf en Vis Co. or NV en Vis co., based on Government Regulation No. 2 of 1960 and the decision letter of the Minister of public works and Electricity (PUTL) No. 5 dated March 11, 1960, WIKA born Company of State Building Karja Widjaja.
Started as a sub-contractor, in the late 1960s WIKA evolved into a Jobber network low voltage electrical installations, medium, and high. In the early 1970s, expanding his business into a company WIKA contractor civil and residential buildings.
The company enters a new chapter on 20 December 1972. Through the Deed No. 110, made before a notary, corporate Muljadi Ali changed status to a limited liability company Wijaya Karya (Persero).
WIKA has always made a breakthrough. The company evolved into a fully integrated infrastructure through the development of a number of subsidiaries. Including Concrete, WIKA WIKA WIKA Realty, and Intrade's wagering platform.
The growth of the company as an integrated infrastructure WIKA strong is getting acclaim from various parties. After the IPO, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia hold 68,4%, while the rest is owned by the public, including employees, through a Management Stock Ownership Program (MSOP), Employee Stock Allocation (ESA), and Employee/Management Stock Option (E/MSOP).
Acquisition of fresh funds from the IPO were used to support growth and innovation conducted by WIKA. WIKA's position became strong, where the world economic crisis began to show its impact in the country. A strong capital structure strongly support WIKA in foreign operations to expand and continue to develop the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC), as well as invest and develop a number of infrastructure projects, especially projects that become government programs related to income and Expenditure Budget of the State (STATE BUDGET) and Budget income and Expenditure area (BUDGETS).
WIKA currently has six Strategic Business units (SBU) which includes construction (civil and building construction Construction Building), mechanical electrical, Concrete Industry Pre print, Real Estate and other Industries in the future will be increasingly integrated into a company's Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) and investment.
